Forum Rules!

1) No sexist, racist... or any inappropriate comments. Respect is Everything!

2) Don't diss Hug A Gamer. If you don't agree with the way things go at Hug A Gamer then come join our team and help make Hug A Gamer better!

3) No advertising outside of the proper forum topic section. And no advertising for profit.

4) No sex talk unless its a appropriate topic in a locked section. We have people under the age of 18 using this forum so be respectful.

5) To Torrents or file sharing. FTP addresses are alright as long as once again your posting it in the right section. If you are posting a FTP address you can only have un-licenced stuff on your server. And do the registration stuff by e-mail not over the forum.

6) No braking the other rules in the FAQ section or the user agreement you signed when you registered.

7) Be smart and don't do anything you would not want other people to do on your forum!

9) Don't talk about Rule #8

10) Don't badmouth other groups that have similar goals. If you love Hug a Gamer great but bad mouthing other events or groups. It only lead to fights so once again be respectful.

11) Read up before asking! There are tons of guides, FAQs and each forum has a dedicated Q&A thread with additional info and rules.

12) Keep the focus: Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved, locked or simply be deleted.

13) Be nice to each other and respect the moderator. Profanity and insults will not be tolerated. If you have a problem with another member turn to the respective moderator and if the moderator can't help you send a private message to the Admins.

14) Do not spam. No blatant advertising.

15) No warez, cracks, serials or illegally obtained copyrighted content! Links to content of a questionable nature (e.g. anything you don't own and/or have downloaded), asking for, offering, or asking for help/helping to process such content in any way or form is not tolerated. Once again unless its on FTP and keep it legal. No posting you list of stuff in the forum either. Just ask a moderator if you have doubts.

16) Keep the size of personal images down. Pic's taken of events can be shared via photo-bucket (or simular sites) to remove the load time on the forum. You can also user the websites photo page in order to share your photo's instead of using the forum.

17) No cross posting. Post your message once, to the appropriate forum and nowhere else or it will be locked or deleted without warning.

18) Use a title that describes the content of your post. Don't use all caps or special characters to draw attention.

19) Do not send questions pertaining to topics of discussion on this board via personal messages or email to Moderators or Admins, they will be ignored.

20) Don't post just to increase your number of posts. (unless its in the games section). If you have nothing to say on a certain matter then don't post. The number of posts on this board has no direct relation to the experience of a member.

21) How NOT to post on this forum:

5 minutes after your initial post you reply to your own post writing something like "Why is nobody helping me? I'm sure you know the answer". Once somebody replies to your thread but doesn't give you exactly the answer you've been expecting you insult them.

Do not ask "what's best" because this question cannot be answered objectively. Each and everyone has their own view about what's best in a certain area. The best is what works best for you!

22) The official language is English but this forum is the official Hug A Gamer Day Forum. There for you may chat or post in ANY languages.

23) Multiple registrations are prohibited and are grounds for immediate account deletion.

24) Political discussion not directly related to Gaming, Anime, or other similar issues are prohibited, as is any discussion on religion and religious matters.

25) Instructions by the moderator team are to be followed.

26) No discussion about the rules or their interpretation.

27) Do not request items from the giveaway section more then once or on a different page. Only One post per members is accepted on the page please read the instruction page before posting on the page. Failure to do so will mean your post gets deleted.

34) If it exists there IS porn of it. . . Just not on this forum Razz

Uhm.. Maybe the set of rules is a little bit long? No-one is going to read through all of that. You should try to keep it brief, short and still get the message through with less words. If you need any help on the forum don't hesitate to ask me here, on Steam (i'm Spellmaker) or on Facebook ^___^

Bah you read threw them quite easily. Plus some of them are funny. That and people have no excuse if there cough breaking a rule.

Yeah G. You're right. I enjoyed the ones that was funny though :p I just thought that some of them could need some editing to get the message across easier with fewer words, but whatever. Im a stupid perfectionist that use more time on things than necessary. Keep up the good work

Are we allowed to post stuff we have for sale? Let me clarify a little. I'm not going to be spamming the forum with "Buy this!" ads or anything but, I do have some kind of expensive gaming stuff that I get bored or need money and like to sell (for a reasonable lower price then what I bought the items for) my items to other gamers that I know would like them. Seeing as how they were pretty expensive, you might understand why I don't want to give them away. A bit long winded, I know but, it's late and I can't sleep.

You can post stuff you PERSONALLY have for sale in the Off topic section. I have no issues with that. As long as its not a link to your own site where you sell gaming stuff.
